Looking for Korean restaurants with good practice of distancing in life

Upon conversion from ‘Social distancing’ to ‘Distancing in life’, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and Korean Food Promotion Institute will implement <Recommendation of excellent restaurants for distancing in life> and <Establishment and dissemination of standard models of Korean restaurants for distancing in life>.

 

Excavation and publicity of
Excellent cases practicing the distancing in life

<Recommendation of excellent restaurants for distancing in life> project is implemented to provide people with the environments for safe dining while the situations with occurrence of COVID-19 still continue. A total of 100 places are planned to be selected, where 50 places are selected by supervision of restaurant groups, the remaining 50 places through people’s online recommendations and field screening. The selected Korean restaurants will be supported of quarantine sanitary supplies such as hand disinfectant, mask, clinical thermometer, etc. Also publicity is to be paralleled with Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Korean Food Promotion Institute and restaurant groups. For people’s recommendation, anybody can participate through the Korean food portal(www.hansik.or.kr) from May 18(Mon) through June 7(Sun), while Onnuri gift cards will be issued to those who recommended the final 50 places selected by undergoing the screening.

Development and presentation of standard models
for easy following by restaurants

In addition, standard models per type will be established for the subject of selected Korean restaurants and application guideline(manual) developed for dissemination. After re-selection of 20 places per type among 100 places of excellent restaurants selected through ‘Recommendation system of excellent restaurants for distancing in life’, Expert advising(consulting) will be undertaken, and standard models and fulfillment guideline (manual) such as seat arrangement, customized tableware design, etc. be developed. Thus developed standard models are planned to be disseminated for propagation throughout restaurants by publicity utilizing restaurant, social network service, broadcast, etc.
