Information on Wild greens festival – 2019 holding standards
Yangpyeong Yongmunsan Wild Greens Festival
Yangpyeong's wild greens, where have all of the mountains, fields, and rivers, have been evaluated for its excellent taste and quality since the Joseon Dynasty. In the 'Donggukyeojiji', published in the middle of Joseon, there is a record that the 'Yongmunsan Mountain's Wild greens are the best product of the gift for the king'.
Since it was selected as a 'representative festival in Gyeonggi tourism' in 2018, in 2019 it was operated as a variety of programs such as the parade of the gift for the king, wild greens national cooking contest, wild greens cooking class, and local specialty liquor exhibition to the extent expected more and more as years pass.

Gangwon Wild Greens Hanmadang Festival
Gangwon-do mostly composed of mountainous areas is also famous for wild greens. According to the 'Yeonsan-gun Diary', various wild greens were gifted to the kings from Gangwon-do.
In spring, each year, various wild greens can be found in festivals held in various regions of Gangwon-do. Among them, the 'Gangwon Wild Green Hanmadang Festival' held in Chuncheon is famous for gathering wild greens of Gangwon-do, which boasts the best in the country, in one place.
However, as the festival was canceled due to COVID-19, in 2020, the festival program is changed to hold via a drive-through and a special sale event at the sites, and on the day of the opening, 700kg of wild greens were completely sold out, which is considered as a big recognition to the customers.
