Talk about the future of Korean Food Industry

Conference for Korean food academic research support project is held

 

Korean Food Promotion Institute held a contest for the <Korean Food Research and Support Project> to establish an efficient Korean food policy and discover the growth engine of the Korean food industry in April. At that time, support for pending issues in the Korean food field or Korean food related academic conferences was also determined, and as part of that, under the theme of "Strategies for the Quality Growth of the Korean Food Industry", the academic conference wii be held at the aT Center on November 7(Sat).

The purpose of this conference is to suggest the future growth plan through qualitative growth of the Korean food industry. Accordingly, keynote lectures will be held, including plans to promote the restaurant industry and expand industrial policies, the history of Korean food promotion development, the future of the Korean food industry, and the management diagnosis methodology suggestion through cases of Korean restaurant management. In addition, comprehensive discussion participated by various experts will be held.

This academic conference will be held as webinar as well as offline, we recommend the participation of those who are interested in the Korean food industry.

'Babdol' a character of Korean Food Promotion Institute
Awarded Grand prix in the public sector of our village character division

 

Babdol' a character of Korean Food Promotion Institute awarded the grand prix in the public sector of '3rd our village character award' promoted by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Korea Creative Content Agency. Our village character award selects the most excellent popular character among regional and public characters in terms of design, awareness, planning ability through online vote. In the award this year, 100 local and public authorities applied for, and after the preliminary round, which was conducted through expert screening and online voting, the final round was held with 100% public online voting.

‘Bobdol' is a character that softly and friendly embodies the rice which is the most basic ingredient of Korean food. Although it was a newly developed character in June of this year, it won the Grand Prix in the public vote and proved its high growth potential.

The winner will benefit from expert intensive consulting and follow-up commercialization support in character licensing, product development, and customized publicity in the future. Through this, the Korean Food Promotion Institute will use the Bobdol character to promote active domestic and overseas publicity activities which allows the promotion of Korean food in a friendly manner through various character projects such as contents, souvenirs, and emoticons.
