Ingredients

6 eggs, 1 teaspoon of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, green onions, sesame oil, sesame seeds, 100ml of water, 1 rice bowl

Directions

① In an earthenware pot, beat 6 eggs well, then add salt, brown sugar, and water, mixing them thoroughly.

② Heat the prepared egg mixture on low heat, stirring continuously to prevent the eggs from sticking.

③ Once the egg mixture becomes thick and slightly lumpy, cover the pot with a rice bowl like a lid.

④ Steam for an additional 2 minutes on low heat, then finish with green onions, sesame oil, and sesame seeds.

Recipe Tip! To create a fluffy bomb-like steamed eggs dish, make sure to fill 80% of the hot pot with beaten egg mixture. It is recommended to cover the pot with a lid or a dish with a similar circumference to prevent as much steam as possible from escaping.

Ingredients

2 eggs, 100g dried glass noodles, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, green onions, carrot, 1 green chili pepper, ½ tablespoon sesame oil, salt, pepper, cooking oil

Directions

① Beat the eggs and season with pepper and salt.

② Finely chop green onions, carrots and extra spicy chili peppers, and mix them into the beaten eggs.

③ Boil the dried glass noodles in water with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce.

④ Once the noodles are cooked, strain them, remove excess water using a sieve, and finely chop them. Let them cool.

⑤ When the noodles have cooled, mix them with the beaten eggs to form a dough.

⑥ Heat cooking oil in a pan, pour the mixture in a circular shape, and when the dough is about 70% cooked, fold it in half to create a crescent shape.

Recipe Tip! You can make it even more conveniently by using leftover japchae (stir-fried glass noodles and vegetables). To ensure that all ingredients cook well, it's advisable to spread the mixture thinly.

Delicious low-carb dish
Gyeran Gimbap (Egg Gimbap)

Ingredients

Laver (gim), 3 eggs, 1/2 carrot, 1/2 cucumber, salt, cooking oil, cheese

Directions

① Beat the eggs, add salt to taste and make thin omelets. Once cooked, slice them as thinly as possible.

② Prepare the cucumber by slicing it thinly lengthwise.

③ Slice the carrot thinly as well. Pan-fry the carrot with some cooking oil and salt until it is cooked thoroughly.

④ Place the cheese on laver and add the prepared eggs, cucumber, and carrots. Roll tightly and it’s done!

Recipe Tip! Completely cool the jidan (egg garnish) before cutting, as it will cut much easier and neater. If it's challenging to roll gimbap tightly, try using two layers of seaweed sheets for each roll, as it helps maintain the shape better.
