‘Bokdalim’ of Korea overcoming hot weather
Korean food experience program to overcome summer in encounter of dog days

Hot weather of summer in Korea is by no means a push-over. The hottest period of it is about 20 some days of ‘three dog day' period from Chobok through Jungbok to Malbok. In this period, Koreans can be easily seen to go eat health foods such as Samgyetang(ginseng chicken soup), etc. to rejuvenate the body tired of hot weather.

Through Korean food TV, Korean food culture center has launched the recipe video for 3 health foods including Samgyetang, Orisusamtang(ginseong duck soup), Heukyeomsotang(black goat soup) in the face of three dog days. Since English subtitles are provided together, foreigners can also try to make the health foods easily at home.

 

On Malbok of August 15, the program for personal making of health foods is scheduled to be operated, where ‘Cooking class to make Heukyeomsotang’, ‘Sample drinking of traditional beverage and traditional liquor’, ‘Exhibit of summer health foods in Korea’, etc. will be colorfully operated. Experience program with participation of about 20 people can be reserved online through Korean food center SNS, for the experience fee of 10,000 won per person.
